Customer ServiceRepresentative / Rink Monitor (Part Time)
ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a challenging and rewarding position for a highly energetic and team-oriented individual who is interested in experiencing the fast-paced and diverse industry of tourism and hospitality. You will be part of the Guest Services Team, which delivers an exceptional visitor experience to Ottawa’s newest attraction.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Positively represents 4Wheelies through great service by:
• Enthusiastically meeting and greeting all guests
• Politely and professionally responding to questions from guests
• Confidently communicating information about the facility
• Efficiently processes admission, group and/or membership sales and rental sales into the Point-Of-Sale system .Record attendance, apply coupons, generate tickets, and receive payment
• Promptly aiding in Emergency protocol
• Maintaining organizational safety standards
• Continually improving our impact on the environment and greening of operations
• Completing the daily tasks as assigned by Assistant Manager
• Performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
• Cash handling experience
• Related cash register and computer skills
• Retail, tourism or related experience
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to safely bend, lift, move products and other items (up to 30 lbs)
• Available during evenings, weekends and holidays is required
Skills
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong internal and external customer service skills with “can-do” attitude
• Positive attitude
• Accuracy, precision and attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Multiple languages an asset but not required
• Ability to roller skate is an asset but not required
Working Conditions:
• Job requires standing and operating a Point of Sale database for extended periods
• Job requires assisting guests with roller skating rentals
• Job constantly involves listening and reacting to requests for information
• Concentration is required when greeting visitors, answering questions and receiving payments simultaneously.
• Flexibility and availability in schedule are required
Hourly Rate: $16.55
Café Attendant / CustomerService Representative

QUALIFICATIONS

• Food Safe certification required
• Smart Serve certification considered an asset but not required
• Prior restaurant, barista/café, hospitality and/ or tourism experience is an asset
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong team skills with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform in fast paced high pressure environments;
• Active demonstration of the company’s values and mission;
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to safely bend, lift, move food products and other items (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to safely reach and stretch, in order to prepare food and working with various kitchen equipment
• Availability during evenings, weekends and holidays is required
